“Dr. Riess’ Empathetics training was so timely. Empathy is about connection and there is no better time than in the middle of a global pandemic to talk about increasing our empathy towards those we serve and towards our co-workers. Many people that call us are experiencing financial stress - it is so important that the BALANCE counselors have emotional intelligence, this training was a great reinforcement of counseling best practices.” Cynthia Campbell, M.B.A., M.Ed., SHRM-SCP, Chief Experience Officer (CXO), BALANCE~Cynthia Campbell, Chief Experience Officer at BALANCE“We promote Empathetics with all of our clients to help their teams develop more meaningful connections with the patients. The ability to engage in difficult conversations in a way that maintains the relationship and enables healing is so important. Empathetics is a company whose mission we heartily support.”~Bill McDonough, CEO Minnesota Malpractice Insurance Company"As an ER Doc, I have a personal interest in physician communication. It’s a particular passion of mine. That’s why we’re working with Empathetics. Our new CEO has an interest in improving all aspects of communications, so we turned to Empathetics. I’d heard about them quite a long time ago. Empathetics has usable tools. They show how to transmit the right messages, the appropriate messages, so people can actually understand what’s going on. The Empathetics group is a very good one, very responsive. Everything that’s supposed to happen, happens.”~Dr. Ingrid Mudge, Lawrence Hospital, NY (Columbia Presbyterian System)“Everyone here thinks highly of the Empathetics product. They’re a very good team. It is great training, great contact, which keeps it ‘sticky. Empathetics is all about how to have a ‘difficult conversation’, which is incredibly important for healthcare right now.” ~Tom Prugar, North Shore Hospital, Salem, MA“This empathy training is the medicine our doctors need to do their job. It revitalizes and restores the spirit."~Robert Jandl, MD Chief of Clinical Integration, Reliant Medical Group“We went to Empathetics to see if we could make the ‘communications piece’ argument; that in malpractice suits, the issue is almost always both technical AND communications based. With Empathetics, we liked the idea of the science behind empathy. That really convinced us. We see a lot of possibility with Empathetics. Clearly there is a need. This would be part of a larger initiative, ‘sponsored by your captive insurance company.’”~Dr. David Feldman, Hospital Insurance Company, (HIC) New York
